Artist description
Callisto, mixing together impacts of the multi-chord-harmonic and low-tune-metallic sounds, not to forget pure hardcore effect, is finding its own style more and more now.
Comparing Callisto to some other, more famous bands, the list of similar artists could describe their music style pretty well. Of course, (now comes the traditional phrase) they don´t intend to copy anyone.
Every band just has some paths to follow. Callisto don´t want to preach or hit faces with the religion,
it´s more like making people think about life, this world and themselves, and sharing their personal point of view with the audience. Callisto is looking forward to bring something outstanding to the atmosphere of the scene.

Artist History
Callisto (formed in March 2000) used to be known as "Pulse" until the fall 2001, when they changed their name to Callisto.
In early summer 2000, after recording a demo-cd with three songs, the band continued rehearshing having still no resources to do any touring, due to several problems.
They recorded a couple of songs in March 2001, from wich one (Dying desire) ended up to be mixed. In summer 2001 Callisto played a couple of single shows, but had no possibilities to start any serious touring, because the members began to study in different parts of Finland.
Since fall 2001, the band has been promoting their songs and starting with more serious action. "Dying desire" appeared also in a Finnish metal comp. "Metal Rose Collection".
They´re going to play a couple of outstanding shows in early 2002, and they´re looking forward to the future together. |
