    Artist History
On the 29th of July 1980, Samie Dulaimi was Born in Taunton, England. Since age 6 he loved music and everything relating to it with 80's pop Legends like "Madonna" (and the first album he ever owned "True Blue"), 5 Stars, Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown. At that age Samie knew he had a talent to sing. At 8 Samie moved back with his family to Kuwait home of his father where he could barely speak a word of Arabic, quickly Samie picked up the local dialect and soon became fluent in the language. It was 1993 (the dawn of Gangster Rap) which influenced Samie into writing lyrics, rap in the beginning on little scraps of paper. In the summer of 1997 Samie entered a Karaoke competition on "The Superstation" 99.7fm local Kuwait radio, he chose "Down on Bended Knee" by "Boyz II Men", due to his excellent vocal delivery he left Superstation's "M Star" amazed and progressed automatically to the final. He later won the competition with extremely high votes from a huge number of callers beating the second by a huge amount of votes! Samie still had his head screwed on being a rapper and has still not realised his vocal abilities. Samie travels to England to complete his undergraduate studies. He studies in The City of "Southampton" and that is where he meets fellow student (DJ) at the time Pop and R&B British Superstar (Craig David). After not doing so well in his studies and many failing attempts at reaching fame in the field of rap, Samie changes his mind about England. He returns to Kuwait enrolls in Kuwait University and occasionally writes mere sentences of rap on his sketchbook still having hope that one day he will rise. A year passes by and Samie meets "Hasan" a Kuwaiti Rap-Lyricist on the rise who has already written and recorded full songs. He persuades Samie that rap isn't his best talent and after hearing him sing encourages him to do that instead. After seeing fellow Craig David's blow-up on the music scene Samie is convinced it can be done and day by day he struggles, thinking, writing, practising and recording on different beats with many failing attempts and no direction but himself. He completes his first song, the lyrically deep, powerfully vocal song "After All Is And Done" (being the first English song ever written by an Arab) explaining a failed relationship he once had with a girl. With extreme detail he uncovers all he experienced in this everyday life situation, we go through, he opens many closed doors. In a matter of days he follows his huge achievement with a collaboration with Hasan's Newly formed Rap Group "Kuwait Dynasty Family" called "KSGz 4 Life" featuring Hasan aka 'The Arab Caesar' and another of Kuwait's talented rappers, Tyreek aka 'Malcolm T'. It explains the struggles of youth and the love they feel for one another. Its high remarkable vocal quality by Samie and huge talent of the two excellent Hardcore rappers plus its deep meaning (Love and Unity) make it hit BIG in Kuwait, in the Arab World and internationally, reaching #10 on the MP3.com Rap charts. The song brings Samie out from a slick ladies man to a Hard "G, Player, and Baller". After the success of "KSGz 4 Life" Samie starts pouring himself into his music and starts writing a wide variety of songs "Every time" which unlike "After All Is Said And Done's" fast tempo has a slow easy happy melody to it explaining his devotion to a girl. His simplicity in the lyrics aims to penetrate a girl’s heart in showing the honest clear feelings he has for her. He follows it with the party club hit "Who Gave You Permission?” Where he blames the girl for all mishaps in their relationship and points the guilty finger at her, in the song he consults a friend laying out all his reasons for leaving her. "I wanted a reason for guys to put in the girls' face, when they blame us for the breakup" says Samie. The slow love song "Replay" follows which he wrote in New York before the September 11 attacks. "Sensual Thing" was a song Samie always had in the back of his mind since he started writing, with a Bump'n'Grind Old School style. The Latin funk of the later written "Highest Top" and the sweet mellowness of his latest "You Don't Have To Worry" all add to the power and exuberance of what Samie could do if his mind was set free on a professional recording studio. With influences like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Madonna and music from his Arabic mixed background he has managed to bring music from the two cultures together. His superbly unique vocal abilities and imaginative lyrical ability make him an undiscovered treasure. Samie continues to write songs with the dream of completing his album 'Soultunes' and getting a record deal one day!
