Artist History Late for Life is an innovative, energetic and original performance powerhouse. Its’ members fuse their diverse perspectives and influences, from such bands as Anti-Flag, Flogging Molly, and Nine Inch Nails, into a unique blend of punk, metal, and just a hint of ska that could only be described as twenty-first century rock ‘n roll. Formed at the tale end of 2001, the band exploded onto the south Florida music scene at the start of 2002 playing fifteen shows in four months. The band returned in the fall of 2002 with a vengeance. They declared war on the local scene, playing sixteen shows to sold-out crowds at venues like the Lion House in Naples and Miami’s Kaffe Krystal in September alone. The band’s unstoppable live show erupts with raw energy and passion that one might only expect to find in a national act. Burning through a total of thirty-six show by the start of winter, Late for Life routinely made fans from the all ages crowds at venues like Pompano Indoor Skatepark, and with the 18 plus crowds at bars like Senior Frogs in Miami Beach. Now, at the start of 2003, Neil Schimmenti (trombone, vocals), Drew Schimmenti (guitar, vocals), Nick Switzer (drums), Dicky King (sax), and Justin Fischer (bass, vocals) are set to take their explosive live show even farther. Assaulting new cities such as Melbourne, Gainesville and Tampa, and returning to blow the doors off venues in Miami and Naples, the band is ready to win over new audiences with their songwriting prowess and on-stage ferocity. With their ever more unpredictable set ready to go and their CD, Live…, in hand, Late for Life is ready to dig in and show the world that a whole new sound has arrived.
