Artist History Third Realm consists of four individuals with completely different backgrounds. Louie Tukes, born and raised in Savannah, GA, Chris Tisdale, a Christian MC who had just moved to Savannah met in the Church they were attending. They began to work together after formulating a vision later to be known as Third Realm. In late summer of 1999, Tukes met another M.C. whose style did nothing less than complement his own. His name was Dartise Johnson, a man, who was looking for people to work with. Dartise, aka, Knowmad was previously with a rap group called Unit. But as time went on, he felt compelled to extend his vision into 3rd Realm. The group had started recording; using whatever resource they could come up with. The, then, 3 members of 3rd Realm started doing shows wherever they could, winning the appeal of believers and non-believers throughout the city and surrounding areas. In October of 1999, two members of 3rd Realm were doing a show in a local park with the Church. Afterwards, a Reggae singer who knew another rapper that was looking for partners in rhyme confronted them. Dartise gave his phone number to the singer, to give to his friend, but it wasn't until the end of January that Vince, aka, X.L., called them. Finally they hooked up and began to work together, thus the fourth member of 3rd Realm emerged. 3rd began recording together the next month and completely finished the firs album, after some adjustments, in August 2000. All the while, they had done approx. 10 or 12 shows together, including one with Mary Mary. Although the first album, called the Unveiling has not hit the shelf, 3rd Realm has continued making the next album (self-titled "Third Realm"), and has been quickly emerging as one of the premiere rap groups in their areas, both secular and Christian arenas.
