Music Style sci-fi surfviolence

Artist History The Labjackets began their adventure about 2 years ago...their humble story begins back in 1999 when Sky and Andrew decided to make a "live techno" band, lookin for other members they ran into Chris and Alex...Chris played in another band with Sky and Andrew at the time, and Alex and Chris played together in a band... so one day they actually all get together and try to put together this live techno band.. what they found when first started to play was nothing like the sound they thought they were goin to get..Chris and Alex were heavily into punk at the time..Andrew listened to lots of hip hop and radiohead stuff..Sky was a ska nerd, into funk and anything he could manage to play on his keyboard always including circus music...somehow all these kids had a knack for surf music too...put it all together and what you get is the labjackets...a name was a hard thing to find back in the day but they picked Mystify... they practiced for their first show, M.A.E. fest at Walnut Hills, and ended up rocking succesfully, and people actually liked it, to their suprise.. after that they got together more and more...and it started to get really serious..they changed their name to "the labjackets" ..the next winter, .they released a song "jingle bells" on hoho records christmas compilation, ..a local surf label.... and after playin 20 or so shows over the next year and opening for national acts , the labjackets finally put a name to the madness.. "sci fi surf violence".. you have to hear it , words cant describe it but this comes damn close! ......anyways the 4 guys are still stuck together wether they like it or not in a ball a surf madness..complete with break downs and chemical resistant suits..... they are currently recording their first full length on shackrock records..look for it in the next few months
