Artist History
path of sound is a toronto-based rock band that can truly be defined through their music due to its unmistakeably unique sound and structure.
the songs they write are powerful and thoughtful, containing energy and direction, and appeal to the audience through honesty and creativety.
tristan (vocals, guitar), chris (guitar) and
rafael (drums) started the band under the name tripplite in highschool with their former bassist. from the beginning, they tried to mix various elements into the makeup of their songs, from other popular music they were influenced by to the skills and knowledge learned through their musical training. their bassist quit, though, before the end of highschool, and the band stopped playing shows for just over a year.
during the summer of 2001, the band restructured their setlist and their sound
by writing new songs such as lines and taking a fresh look at older songs like snow. they recorded their latest demo, and began building a new fan base.
with 2002 came not only the great new songs sorry and open seam, but the final element needed to complete path of sound. james taylor, a friend of the band's from highschool, joined as their new bassist and back-up vocalist |
