    Artist History
I have been in several bands, including Electric Reign and Catch 23. In all of those bands, I have been the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. The bands played mainly in the local area. We normally played stuff from classic rock to alternative rock. I began writing my own songs about three years ago. At first, they weren't much to speak of; but eventually, my talent grew. Today, I have over one hundred complete songs with both lyrics and music. As far as my style, I've heard many varying opinions, such as Ani DiFranco, Jewel, Radiohead, and the Cranberries.

    Press Reviews
"Micky Barry is an exciting new sensation to folk rock music. She combines the ideas of protest, joy, and love in a wonderfully balanced emotional environment. Audience favorites, "After One" and "Nothing," will remind you of your own curious questions about life." "Micky Barry's first album shines with the brilliance of a talented songwriter and the personality of a truly deep thinker. Her album, recorded with all the money she could put together, gives an insight into the light and dark milieu that is her mind. The production is rough at parts, but overall the emotion and the inspiration which created these works fills the listener's ears, and leaves them waiting for her next album. This is truly one of the best independent albums I have ever heard, and definitely worth buying."
