Artist description
Lift 6 Eighteen has a truly unique sound, created from a variety of influences, ranging from alternative and mainstream rock to aggressive grooves and eclectic, effects-heavy guitar pieces, making their music very dynamic and intense. They flow effortlessly from innovative multi-layered, effects driven guitar textures to blisteringly heavy power chord riffs and back again, reminding the listener of bands such as Godsmack, Finger Eleven, Staind, and Sevendust while still maintaining their own sonic identity and musical purpose |

Artist History
The band was initially formed in 1995 in northern New England, by Jeff Cust and brothers Tom and Ray Butler. After three years of struggling with a very dated, very sparse music scene, as well as many un-cooperative fellow musicians, they decided that a new hometown would be needed in order to achieve any level of sucess. In 1998 they re-located to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, placing themselves centrally among the larger cities on the East Coast, and began searching for a bassist and a vocalist who had the same dreams and dedication as themselves. After seven months of grueling auditions, they added Jason Jacquin on vocals, and four months later, Randy Cason on bass, completing the sound and structure they were pursuing.
