Artist description
"Sometimes a boy...Sometimes a girl. Kelly Mantle's musicality and live performances are as unpredictable and unaplogetic as his gender. Kelly Mantle's music is a combination of silky melodic new wave sounds and haunting acoustic rhythms creating a sinewy alternative pop sound. His lyrics are beautifully truthful and eloquently told. There's an electric rhythm to his words that almost offer a percussion of their own accompanying his deep rich vocals.” --Noella/Music Radar |

Artist History
Kelly Mantle is an Oklahoma native like his uncle, the late great Mickey Mantle. He started acting and singing on the stage at the age of five. Kelly graduated from The University Of Oklahoma with a B.F.A. in Theatre. After graduation, Kelly moved to Chicago to pursue a professional acting career. While in Chicago, he started his own theatre company, OKRA Theatre, in which he co-produced and starred in the critically acclaimed all-male production of LONE STAR/LAUNDRY AND BOURBON. It was hailed as one of the best performances of the year by The Chicago Tribune. Also in Chicago, he starred in the world premiere of TONY AND TONY'S WEDDING and was seen as the leading lady in both the Chicago and Hollywood revivals of VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM.
Fed up with the snow, Kelly moved to Los Angeles. Since landing in Tinseltown, Kelly has been seen everywhere from the small screen, to the silver screen, to the rock-n-roll scene, to the covers of magazines and everything in between. Sometimes a boy...sometimes a girl...Kelly can be seen performing his own music in and out of drag. His musicality and live performances are as unpredictable and unapologetic as his gender. In addition to his own music, as well as regular acting and modeling gigs, Kelly can be seen performing as the drag persona, BRANDY WARHOL (www.brandywarhol.com), in the popular LA-based band, SEX WITH LURCH (www.sexwithlurch.com). Brandy is currently gracing the cover of GIRL TALK MAGAZINE (www.girltalkmag.com).
Kelly can also be seen performing his own organic original remedies of music, comedy and commentary called "THE KELLY MANTLE SHOW" (formerly known as "THE DUSTY ROADS SHOW") at Highland Grounds in Hollywood the fourth Thursday of every month. Kelly is in the studio now recording his soon-to-be-released debut CD, EVER CHANGING.
