Artist description Who needs turntables & microphones if you have quality songs? The Antwerp Belgium based trio Javel put their music to the test. If it doesn’t live on acoustically, the songs ain’t good. Eventually some drums, guitars, a Fender Rhodes, a rhythm box, a sequencer, a synthesizer, or a Korg will be added. That’s all. Critics won’t understand more than beauty. It’s 1997. Somewhere in autumn or winter. To keep each other company Will Duis, Roel van der Paal and Bart Meeus started joining some nice musical riddle in their living room. Just spending quality time by making guitar and Korg sounds. Enjoying friendship. Singer songwriter Will is into everything of daily life. He once took part in bands such as Thundermug and Clincher. He has a big nose for beautiful small things. Awesome and tall, that’s singer songwriter Roel. Dedicated to his Fender Rhodes and Nord Modular. A former Captain Skizo. Drummer Bart is occupied with drumming in old fashioned and modern, electronic ways. He worked with Captain Skizo and Neeka. It’s the year 2001. According to RifRaf, a Belgian music paper, Javel is the missing link between the Beach Boys and dEUS. Their white coloured vinyl single ‘Superegosurvive/Joy’ on the Dutch label Tennis Records contents sunny guitar based pop combined with Moog sounds. Javel is able to do shows now. The band is ready. At least for one hour long to pull their hearts out on stage. Intensively and carefully. The most enjoying rock band of The Antwerp Commonwealth plays live for your listening pleasure. After de Bossen, Orange Black and Metal Molly Javel has been selected to play Willrock. It's the year 2003. Javels full debut CD 'Whose Face Is Happy' is waiting for you in stores all over the Benelux. With additional musicians such as Ilse Goovaerts (Neeka) Javel will be ready to come out of their living room and play you the friendly songs they'd been liking for years now.
