Artist description
Cheap instruments. Recording equipment of dubious origins. Flimsy cassette tapes capturing young musicians trying to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible about non-commercial music. Even when a song breaks out, it's all "wrong". Classic Dits are all of this and more, presented to you digitized and normalized for your (we hope) pleasure. Without The Dits there would be no Home Recordings, and without Home Recordings I wouldn't have to be writing silly "Artist Descriptions" for a dozen or so bands from the far left field! --Ed Pon |
