Artist description
Tipical as a core group is made up of four guys who love making music. Lead singer/songwriter David Fuller takes influences as far removed from each other as Elliott Smith and U2, Sunny Day Real Estate and the Beach Boys, and puts them into a pot of original indie pop/rock that is at least hard to describe. Dynamic and powerful, their music is rock with not a little bit of irony and plenty of muscle while remaining very accessible. With concentration on lyrical content and musical originality, these guys refuse to conform to a musical formula, instead choosing to let the songs speak for themselves in a unique way. |

Artist History
Started in Fall of 2001 by three best friends, David Fuller, Jon Behr and Graeme Enkelis, Tipical began as a studio experiment in a new style that excited and challenged the players. Having played together in bands throughout high school, the trio already had the chemistry to create together, and the outcome was a band that they believed finally had something to contribute. In spring of 2002, Graeme had to leave the band for his new full-time gig with Careen, but Adam Sweeney joined on lead guitar to further shape the ever-evolving sound that is Tipical. Filled out by Dustin Conant on bass in January 2003 (with Graeme filling in on keys every so often), Tipical is now a full powerhouse rock unit. Watch out, world. These kids play instruments and sing. |
