    Artist description
The studio "side" project broke away into the heavy remnants of psychedelics and thus formed through this metamorphisis "Fly in the ointment" A politically fueled, punk influenced barrage of sound intelligently sensitive to the environmental, moral, and somewhat faschist agendas set forth by the current status of society. With past projects behind their belt Sledge and Stone embark down ethereal paths in between the rolling waves of chaos intertwining genres and blending textures forming a sound that capitvates while it entices the listener to think about a larger scale picture painted vividly through the coarse straight forward voice of Stone.

    Artist History
Chandler, also known as C Thomas Stone, former guitarist and vocalist for post modern rock trio "Mute" has been playing since age 13 and has been involved with music ever since. Playing bass guitar for "Exit Only"and "The Stickmen" and on to fronting the industrial anatomy of "Spineless", the hardcore punk essentials of "Hot Carls"and a short stint with Sacramento, California based "Wrecluse." In '97 he founded Red Room Productions and has been working selectively with local area projects and is currently working on tracks that will make up "Fly's" debut album. Sledge formerly bassist for the jazz fusion of "JESCOE"has been playing bass since age 13 and has provided the low end to groups such as the psychedelic euphoria of"Sketch," the enchanting texture of "Withstanding Rust," and currently he is the backbone of improv jazz trio "Fletcher Munson Curves" while working in the studio with Stone on new compositions. Hodge, best known for his keyboard work with "Withstanding Rust" incorporates Pink Floyd like texture with jazz finesse. Also of the jazz band "the Kendrick Street Project," he shows the depth of his diverse and intricate methods of providing the soundscape for any type of musical genre. Reed ran into Stone at a local music shop just in time to actually make the connection which brought the former drummer for "Refill 88" into the circle and this in turn brought another guitarist as well. James former guitarist for "Bed" came aboard as the new guitarist, adding to the cosmic chaos and allowing Stone to focus on vocals as well as building a more abrasive wall of sound. Romine cut his percussive teeth throughout the jam sessions of "Withstanding Rust" and is currently working on studio sessions with Stone and White on an all new percussion project. White, a classically trained percussionist of the UNA jazz band, brings the tribal element into focus and in turn sheds an organic spot light upon the industrial technological feel of the music and currently is working on studio sessions with Stone on the new tracks for the debut album. This amalgam of musical expertise shines through on the "Fly" project entitled "Gravitation, Pulleys, and Puppet Strings" and should keep listeners glued to their seat with the ever changing state of mind and spirituality from composition to composition.

    Press Reviews
"Withstanding Rust" is a return to good morals and values in music, bridging the gaps between genres and creating a new sound that is familiar while brand new and fresh. "Fly in the ointment" proves to be a powerful bombination of sharp, while forboding lyrics and hard hitting grooves with the psychedelics Stone and Sledge are most known for buried amongst the chaos.
