Artist History
Luke Doucet is one of Canada's most noted guitarists having played with Sarah McLachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Oh Susanna, and Lily Frost among others. He won over boatloads of fans as the frontboy for Vancouver based Veal who delivered a unique brand of crunchy twisted surf noir motorcycle hillbilly rock. His recent solo album, "Aloha, Manitoba" has brought him to every one-horse town from coast to coast, including two arena shows opening for the Barenaked Ladies, winning over wagon-loads of fans and collecting stellar reviews across the board for the new release. |

Press Reviews
"Luke Doucet has developed a distinct musical style that effectively transfuses the rootsy styles of the past with emotional stresses of the modern urban lifestyle. Throughout Aloha Manitoba, Doucet mixes various styles: the playful jazz-based Cajun music (via Daniel Lanois), the hybrid sound of Old 97's take on the country rock genre, the urban wit of early Lowest Of The Low and the vocal style of the Jazz Age crooners." Chart Magazine
"Like Randy Newman and Neil Finn, Luke Doucet is a songwriter’s songwriter." Now Magazine
"That guy must be the lost love bastard of kd lang and Tom Waits." Canadian Pressˇ |
