Artist description
Kom2ode is a collecive state of mind dedicated to expanding the musical horizon. The music is an eclectic blend of all known genres and then some and can get a bit confusing for the untrained ear. But don't worry - they aim to please. People often mistake them for being silly, but they are very serious people (two of them have girlfriends)! They are on a sacred mission to abolish all forms of photosynthesis and find a suitable replacement to worship. So far no luck but scientists seem optimistic since they are working in symbiosis with the cows. |

Artist History
Kom2ode started out in early 1998 as a three member instrumental band. The music was a funky kind of noise not yet heard throughout the underground world of music. They played regularly at an old farm out in the countryside and the music slowly evolved and grew more complex. A few tapes still exist from this bizarre period - but it's mainly just the members saying strange things. This era culminated in the creation of the cult hit "Confusion" which still roam this page from time to time.
In late 1999 Kom2ode felt an urge to expand their music with a vocalist and the choice fell upon the decadent rockstar Andreas Bonven. With this new and improved line up they quickly began writing new songs for a forthcoming cd. The result was "Korkfabrikken" (2ooo) depicting still life around the infamous cork factory out in the countryside. It received some mixed reviews in local music magazines. Following the succes of this mini album Kom2ode started playing regularly at "The Box" in Denmark and the fans were very happy. Unfortunately this venue went bankrupt.
With nothing much to do Kom2ode went to the studio again to record their new material - five new songs collectively entitled "Who Needs Alice DeeJays Anyways?". |

Press Reviews
"The Danish group "Kom2ode" are a fresh experimental gathering of musicians that are unafraid to twist and bend music in an organized way. Within one song they tamper with various rhythms for example from Reggae to Gothic Rock. But all composed in a fashion that's pleasant to the ear. If you hear one track guaranteed you couldn't resist hearing what they've done to the next one. It's like being on a magical mystery tour of "Kom2ode's" music. ... There is certainly a ton of creativity and good music from this group of experimentalists. Their musicianship is by no means experimental because I can hear many good fills and riffs plastered all over their works. Don't be frightened to step into the unknown music arena because Kom2ode wasn't! ... OVERALL: 8.00" - Gods of Music.com
