Artist description erisson is an artist for whom there are no easy comparisons. grounded firmly between dark ambient and dark pop, "delicate," his debut album, marks an unusual meeting of creative ambition and gothic isolationism. originally released on cassette in 1995, it was reissued on cd in 1998. it begins with sparse sounds and digitized voices, building toward a progressive movement of guitars, tape loops and rhythmic drones, then drifting into a distant ethereal world. "i explore the empty spaces in my music", says erisson. "most of the time you can hear that something else should be playing in the mix of sounds, but its missing... that's on purpose, i believe there is always a part gone astray." with his new material he takes us to yet more ethereal planes. moving silently across an expanse of soundscapes, occasionally flowing into dark pop but mostly finding its home in the isolation of dark ethereal and dark ambient. and in the silent spaces in between, we hear a voice calling to us... listen
