Artist description
I like to make music that requires full attention. Most of it is instrumental, though occasionally I write vocals. The sound is usually sort of dark and spacious. Subtle variations make the songs grow and develop, much like other electronic music, there is a "minimal" vibe. I use a lot of lo-fi samples and samples of myself playing instruments. |

Artist History
Music started on my dad's side of the family. I believe with my great grandmother. I started making music around the age of 12 (I am 20 now). I learned to play the drums and guitar, and got interested in multi-tracking. A guy at my school, Brent Cody, gave me a tape that he made where he was playing all the instruments. I loved it and wanted to make a tape of my own. I started recording drum beats with an old tape recorder, then playing back the tape through my stereo. Then I would play my guitar to the tape and record that. I would layer so much stuff like that (vocals, bass, perc, etc.) it would sound so horrible by the last tape, so I got a 4 track. I started writing a lot of songs using the 4 track and decided I needed a new instrument to add to the mix. I got a keyboard, and that is when I started making electronic music (not strictly of course). I have come a long way since then. I have collected more equipment, learned more about music theory, and played in a few bands. Currently I write most of my stuff on the computer with a variety of software. I am in the process of changing musical direction, so we will see where it goes. |
