Artist History
Ever since he was a child growing up in the small
town of Waterdown Ontario, Lyicist / Songwriter
Tim Coates has has a love for music and recording.
Always intrested how songs where created and how
a song was written. He studied drums and guitar
through out his school years and began to write
poetry and song lyrics. After accumulating an
abundance of lyrics he needed a musical outlet
to express his inner ideas and thoughts. Tim
recruited Burlington based singer songwriter
Steve McPhail (Sonny Boy Mick, Fall From Grace)
to collaborate on his material. After working on
song ideas they headed into Melody Man Studios
in Burlington Ontario to record a 6 song CD.
The end result THE MARSHALL BURN PROJECT, a
collection of emotional pop rock songs that
combined Tim's Lyical style and vision with
Steve McPhail's energetic vocal and musical
styles - Cover Design and Sleeve Design: Cole Basteto
