Artist History
Luke and Chris formed Digital Warfare in 1998 as a Side project to the heavy metal band (The Corrupt Youth Movement) the pair was in.
It was primarily intented as a vehicle to voice their underlying electronic urges. The bands often played the SE London circuit together, swapping headline slots.
For most of 1999 the bands formed a creative coalition pushing local music and media. This resulted in the sucessful series of, The Corrupt, parites held in Greenwich, London.
When the Corrupt Youth Movement folded, Luke and Chris could concentrate fully on Digital Warfare rewritting many live set classics as knowledge and equipment grew.
In October 2000 the band allocated to Cambridge and began to put its feelers out in the active DIY electronica scene. The first gig came after a slew of song writting and was held at the APU student union.
This was shortly followed by the self financed Crossed Rhythms night at the Junction, which involved a variety of artists from the Cambridgeshire area.
They are currently involved with a new DIY organisation under the name Loup Soup which is to hold events over the coming months. |
