Artist History South Florida's "The Goodnicks", pop/rock trio based in Coral Springs, have been together since June of 2001. The group came into existence as a result of the musical partnership formed a few years earlier between bassist/vocalist Paul Thomas and guitarist/vocalist Derek J. Laber. The goal was to form a band that would play good songs featuring the blend of their dynamic voices. Armed with some of their finest material, Paul and Derek were on the hunt for musicians to complete the band they envisioned. The final piece to the puzzle turned out to be guitarist Ric Foss, who shared the same aspirations and influences. The Goodnicks had spent much of the first year adding to their already strong repertoire and preparing to record their debut CD. Upon its completion, the band plans to promote the CD with a full schedule of live performances and appearances. The Goodnicks' music is influenced by a wide range of artists, both classic and current, from The Beatles to The Goo Goo Dolls. Every song has been crafted simply to be memorable and, most importantly, timeless, something to be listened to and enjoyed now or twenty years from now. It is this philosophy and their distinct sound that The Goodnicks feel will lead to their undoubted success.

Instruments Paul uses Yamaha bass gear, Ric uses Fender guitars and Derek uses Gibson acoustic guitars.
