Artist History
“Despite being scared, I feel the cold wind snap across my face,
as I walk to center stage and take my place.
This is where I belong.”

“The Parallels”
As far as Eye can see
Spyc-E is a female emcee/singer/songwriter/producer who brings to the table a combo of phat bass beats, sweet melodies, and vicious emcee skill. Taking naturally to the stage, she began performing at the age of 4. She has performed for audiences ranging from One to 10,000 (Michigan Women’s Festival, 1983). Over the years, she has played reggae, jazz, blues, r&b, gospel, funk and rock, but it is hip-hop that is now her focus.
“I feel that hip-hop is an art form which combines many elements of beauty. Hip-hop is a multi-sencsory experience. It reaches into the deepest parts of your being and crosses all boundaries, cultural and economic.”
The 24 yr old artist uses hip-hop not only as medium of entertainment, but also as a medium of self-expression and protest. “It is through music that I take my stand. I use hip-hop to share new ideas and perspectives with any that will listen. Before I started rapping I was a poet without a beat, I was a melody without words. My family helped me to see that it was as an emcee that I could fully satisfy the need to speak my mind while entertaining.”
Spyc-E ‘s debut album As Far as Eye Can See, speaks of happiness and heartache, struggle and victory. Her intricate lyrical flow, laid on saucy Northwest grooves leaves u satisfied. It is as though you have felt with her heart, danced in her shoes and seen through her eyes.
"Let the multi-layered realm of self come into view. Use your third eye to see through”
- Spyc-E
