Artist description
“You must perform that which you know,
that which you have lived, and that
to which you are dedicated. Anything
less will result in the furthering of
the tragedy that is our current pop-culture.”
–David Gurule

Artist History
The quartet grew up together in Littleton,
Colorado, and founded Mass Confusion in 1995.
The band played regularly at school functions
and at small, local venues, such as the Aztlan
Theatre, Caf Euphrates, and at McNichols’
pre-game festivities. After high school, the
band took time off to live in new areas, attend
college and find themselves as individuals.
In April of 2000, the band re-united to write
their first rational album. The result is being
paralleled, by some, to The Blair Witch Project.
Mass Confusion spans three years and is a
progression of consciousness experienced by
David Gurule. It begins with the warning signs
that any youth receives from those with life
experience. Naturally, the warnings are ignored
because their innocence is “Feelin’ Fine.”
However, at some point (Crocktus Cocktus),
everyone loses their innocence and must
struggle to find their true self. David Gurule
believes: “If we can see that we have lived thus
far to be a representation of our generation,
then we will continue to educate ourselves, so
that when people are willing to listen, we will
have something truly worth saying.” This album
is not only a source of relation for anyone who
lost their innocence too early, but also a tool
for parents to possibly understand what their
“normal” child is going through in our age of
thought repression and materialistic possession.
Mass Confusion is now working hard with
professionals like Mark Bliesener
(Mngr. for Big Head Todd, former writer of
Rolling Stone Magazine) and Gary Bidwell
(national promoter, producer), and professional
marketers from Kind Tunez Ent. Eventually,
and with your help, we will bring Boulder,
the nation, and eventually the world together
under music with a positive message. |

WOW, November 2, 2001
Reviewer: A music fan from Denver, Co United
States The first time I saw these guys was at
a party in Boulder Colorado. Their music was
some of the best I have heard in a while. This
album is only a portion of what these four guys
can do.
Good Colorado based band, November 14, 2001
Reviewer: A music fan from Austin, TX USA
It is refreshing to see another high quality
band come out of Colorado. Though they are
different from the likes of The Samples,
Big Head Todd, and String Cheese. They are
a new sound, perhaps where rock is going,
perhaps where it needs to be.
