Artist description
Hailing from the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo area, the band Immigrant Blue is stepping out with their first album, "Immigrant Blue," in the spring of 2002. With untamed energy and vast musicality, this unyielding vehicle is a force to be reckoned with.
The creative energies that drive the machine flow from five guys, with a fire for what they do. Their desire - TO MAKE IT - or shut up and keep their day jobs.
Behind the keys and main vocals is a consummate professional, Sean Mansell. Sean uses what he is - a song writing machine with relentless vocals that inspire the rest of the band to be better musicians and artists. The ignition switch that fires the MACHINE is the rhythm section. Moody is an absolute slave to the bass greats - masterfully using his solid and ever-evolving versatility to be the groove conductor while Dave Perry hammers away on his kit with a slow burn; driving home the movement and motion that this group demands. This leaves last, but certainly not least, the guitar section, comprised of Chris Frankhauser and Rob Clark. Chris' gritty style grabs you by the throat and slaps hard with a tone so sweet, it'll make your mama cry. Rob is the latest addition to the band. What was needed was a rock - and this guy cuts with a methocial, razor sharp edge. A true craftsman that is second to none.
Together, they utilize their experience, their lives and their diverse musical influences to form one of the most original and exciting Rock/Pop fueled bands out there! Look for them at your favorite record store soon - or at your local McDonald's - but they're banking on that first part.... |
