Artist description
Groove Recon is a collaboration.
We try to broaden the perspective around electronic music a little bit by emerging it with a more "classic" touch.
With influences from classical composers like Holst but also with a lot of ethnic vibes included in the mix.
U will get to hear a nice mix of musical experiments from us, everything from pure cool grooves to more classical and film score inspirated tunes.

Group Members
We both grew up in artistical and musical families. We have found that we have a lot i common and bring out the best in eachother.
Martin: I grew up around my fathers 70's rock band. My first instrument was a drumkit. My parents were sick of me banging on pots and pans. I have tried to learn the guitar a few times but I got frustrated when I wasn't as good as my dad. I studied the piano for a few years and later continued to find my musical voice through that instrument.
Mikael: Well, Jazz has always had an strong influence on me, mostly because my father always played his Getz, Parker, Coltrane and Davis vinyls. I like beats & breaks i coalition with soft vibes so House & Drum n Bass are also a common part of my music exploration. |
