He has been pounding the pavement of each major Texas highway for over a decade, playing in bands of all genres, wearing a variety of hats from rock critic to sound engineer, and trying to make a name for himself in the music industry. In 1990, Dodd formed a band with local area musicians, Andy Zuniga on drums, and bassist, Grandon Westlund. For the next six years they would undergo a series of events, both successful and unsuccessful. This would shape his sound and define his musical identity.
