Artist History Influenced by many of the great synthpop & electronic artists of the late 20th century, Endora embodies a style that captures the song writing and emotion from that era, but with an approach that pushes pop music boundaries for the new millennium. Endora was formed in late 1998 by Ginash George, formally of the synthpop band Definition. Soon afterwards, Ginash recruited classically trained drummer Bin Kallan and eventually keyboardist/violinist Santhosh Skariya to the project. Initially Ginash reluctantly took Lead vox, but only as an interim role until a permanent lead vocalist was found. The 3-man group played various shows and congruently looked for a new front man. This task wasn't the easiest, many talented singers around Chicago auditioned for the part, unfortunately as talented as these individuals were, no one seemed to mesh with endora's style. In Late 1999, a friend of Bin and Ginash was approached to be lead vocalist. Shajan was already an accomplished vocalist and had the sound Endora was looking for. Impressed with Shajan's audition, he was signed on the spot. Eventually keyboard player Santhosh Skariya left the band to pursue a solo career and was consequently replaced by keyboardist Rubin Roche. In the summer of 2000, Endora had the pleasure for opening for the band Anything Box. With over 1300 fans in attendance, the band received a very positive response. Soon afterwards, Endora signed with Border Blue Records. But because of artist and label differeces, Endora once again became independent. Currently Endora is in the studio working on their upcoming self-entitled album and single. In December 2001, Endora decided to slightly shift gears in terms of the direction they were headed, musically-speaking. Striving to achieve a more aggressive, borderline-EBM sound, Endora decided to look for someone to take over the lead vox spot. The mission was accomplished upon the discovery of John Quale, who dazzled everyone at the audition with his vocal range, pitch control, nuance ability, and precision. On January 19th, 2002, Endora recorded their first track with John, "Smile (All Lost)". Endora only seeks to continue its evolution into a modern synthpop group with a wide range of diverse influences, which manifest themselves in the music produced.
