Press Reviews
Evil Metal.
That is what Catorsion is. Actually, Catorsion takes the best parts from death metal, and mixes it with the best parts of hardcore to form some of the evilest sounding shit in years. The grinding blast beats and deep bass work serve only as a backdrop to the layers of intense guitar. The vocals are a black/death metal crossover style without the high-pitched screeching. Catorsion could turn a circle pit into a dance session in a blink of an eye. They switch back and forth between Slayer speed riffing and Throwdown breakdowns all throughout their songs. If there ever is a band to be labeled as deathcore, Catorsion would definitely be that band.
