Artist History
Who's the Fat Guy? was formed in February 1999. The band's first series of gigs included a weekly residency at Wally's Jazz Cafe in Boston. The residency allowed the band to fine tune twenty original works and develop a fanbase. By the summer of 2000, WTFG? found themselves headlining one of Boston's hippest spots, Bill's Bar, before crowds of 300 people. The band has shared the stage with a variety of national acts; including Merl Saunders and Ween. WTFG? has recently played for crowds as large as 1000 people at events like Harpoon Brewery's Brewstock 2001 and Skidmore College's Fun Day. In 2001, the band was nominated for a BMA for Best Funk Band. |
