Artist History Telescope has its roots in Flagstaff, AZ a college town of about 60,000. Lead singer, Seth Holland, formed the band in early 2003 with the vision to write and play music that speaks to real life...honest and hopeful. The trio is Seth on guitar and vox. Ben Lippard on drums, and Jason Holland on bass guitar. The three are close friends, so the chemistry was there for the band from the beginning. The band has been compared to Train, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews, and Everclear. Their edgy acoustic sound sets them apart in a market flooded with high flying electric guitars. Telescope is becoming well known for its sincere approach to music. No gimmicks or stage antics, just great songs with a surprisingly intimate delivery. Seth said "After a recent show someone came up and told me that one of the songs brought tears to their eyes. After hearing this comment I knew we were doing something right. We set out to move people with every song we play. Not just with overbearing noise but with intriguing lyrics and melodies. I think our main objective would be to make the audience laugh and cry at the same time." In a recent show the band played to an enthusiastic crowd and sold out of all its merchandise. This is sure to be the norm with this up and coming trio from Flagstaff, AZ. I think we can say, this is the start of something good.

Additional Info Last thursday at the Bean was amazing! THANKS to everyone who showed up...sorry not everyone could win the tattoo. :-)We had an amazing weekend in phoenix, can't thank the people there enough! We are currently finishing up our full length cd in a studio here in Flagstaff. It should be done in two weeks. To order a full cd or the four song LP look above.
