Artist description
badwill can be most easily described as a cross between Brandnew and last perfect thing, but their sound is much more intricate than can be described by a simple comparison to established artists. while striving to maintain a well-honed pop songcraft with an agressive bite, they incorporate the urgency and syncopation of post-hardcore with the emotional honesty of Fugazi-style emo, while displaying a complete understanding of the innovations in pop structure and song form more commonly found in indie-rock. the band has a supreme grasp of big, lifetime-informed hooks and a stylistic appeal that spans from metal to country to hip-hop to jazz and blues. while the band has been together almost a decade, the members are still relatively young and have even more room for growth beyond their prodigiously mature stage, coupled with the drive and passion to achieve success on their own terms, makes new jersey's .badwill. a band to keep a good eye on. |
