    Artist History
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. #1 hit in Italy ("Give It Up Kid") 1979, as well as a popular live performance career in New York with bands "Mrozinski's Mean Machine", "mrozinski/music" as well as a solo cabaret career as "Mrozinski". The more pronouncable RJM is currently writing and performing soundtracks, inspirational ballads, dance tracks and myriads of other unique and customized sounds. Robert Joseph Mrozinski was born on June 5, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. Little Robert proceeded to waste his life away until the age of 5, when mother Marge (on the prompting of angels) bought him a $39 Magnus chord organ. From this point, Robert was either in school at St. Vincent DePaul, exploring New York, or teaching himself music. At the age of 12, in search of a bigger organ, Robert snuck up to the choir loft at St. Vincent's to play their transplanted theater organ. A kindly Franciscan monk heard him and recommended him to the clergy there, and Robert became the Church Organist and Choir Director for the next 13 years. While at the church, he was solicited to join a local band (unnamed), and this led to gigs with Northside Brooklyn bands such as Odin, South Side Panic and Incident. A fortuitous meeting with Mainman (David Bowie's company) refugees Michael Smythe and Macs McAree, and "Bobby" was renamed Mrozinski, and a rock career with D.U.O. (Do Unto Others) Productions began. Gigs at Max's Kansas City, CBGB, the Ritz, Studio 54 and countless NY and East Coast venues ensued. Mr. Smythe, disillusioned, left the rock arena, and Macs (aka Max Rippough, pronounced rip-off) became Maximum Communications and a record label search began. With major New York press and sold-out performances, Mrozinski signed a deal with Emergency/Baby records. A #1 in Italy with the disco hit "Give It Up, Kid", and a tour was in the works. Mr. Rippough promptly lived up to his name and screwed up the deal. With the help of friend/attorney/paramour and all-round hot-child-in-the-city Rosemary Proto, esq., the "management" contract was broken. Mrozinski was now in the hands of erstwhile jailbird Jerry Spiegelman and his partner Robert Cipriano. A more high-profile and tasteful career led to Mrozinski landing the part of Rum Tum Tugger in the Broadway production of "Cats", (thanks to sound wiz Abe Jacob), but choreographer/bitch Gillian Lynne showed up and chose the lovely Terrence V. Mann for the part the day before rehearsals began. This saved our hero from makeup poisoning, but prompted his exodus from NYC to La-La-Land. Years in California, Hawaii and Florida tempered Mrozinski's artistry, which takes us to the present day...
