Press Reviews
Far-Less - Emerge EP
independent (2002)
Bubbling with infectious grooves and melodius vocal lines comes the debut
release from the young Virginian four-piece know as Far-Less. To cut
Far-Less any slack for being so young would
be foolish and slighting them of the raw and uncanny musical talents that
they already posses in great proportion. While Far-Less definitely shows
moderate similarites to high-enery emo acts like Far and Piebald, the band
catters slightly more to the emo/pop side of things. Fans of New Found Glory
and Injected should both be more than pleased with this effort.
Additionally, Far-Less is easily one of the catchiest bands to grace the
modern rock genre in recent memory and to boot, they don't sell out their
dignity while doing so. The vocals are sweet and free-flowing, the guitarwork
is catchy like the ebola virus and the drumming is nothing short of superb.
Even without the recent mainstream sucess of emo/emocore bands, Far-less is
more than destin to be huge and in my humble opinion is one of the best
unsigned bands on the market right now.
