Artist description
The Emerald City Jug Band was formed in 2000 in response to our faked-up demo being accepted by Seattle's Northwest Folklife Festival. We had a slot, so now we had to have a band to fill it.
We are acoustic musicians who are not above stealing from any genre, as long as it accomplishes the basic aim of entertaining a crowd while being fun for us. You want touchy-feely or sensitive material? Look for in our individual websites, 'cause you won't find it in the ECJB repertoire. As a group, we're basically a pack of whores who'll do anything to get you off. |

This is pointless - we don't sound like anyone in particular, but we sound like lots of bands at various times. Is it important? |

Artist History
The four core members have collectively been playing music for over 125 years. Our influences range from ragtime to rock, touching on blues, country, jazz, rock, and folk music along the way. We're just a bunch of unreconstructed hippies who don't know when to stop. |
