Artist History Barron James Band started in the September of 2001 when the keyboardist saw an ad from lead singer Dan Barron whom needed a band to back up his lyrical prose and rhythmatic acoustic style. Shortly after Dan and a few friends played some small gigs in their home town of Bloomington, Illinois. Then local friend of the band Greg Gembering approached the band offering his bass skills. A month later Jesse Raczynski had been asked to play lead guitar. Jesse agreed and asked a friend of his, local drum legend Iggy Dickson to join, and The Barron James Band was created.
