    Artist description
Split End is a trio that prides itself on a bare boned raw style rarely heard in music today. Front man Brandon Jaffe has the incredible ability to blend real thoughtful lyrics with simple pop melodies. He writes about his unusual perception of the world, and his sometimes unstable relationships with others. His simple crunchy guitar sound is seemlessly intertwined with the complicated yet smooth bass lines of Chase Forslund. A staple of Split End songs is the self-described break down in which all members including Kyle Johnson contribute with full emotion before relapsing into the last chorus. All songs are well designed in a smooth pop manner, and at the end of the typical 2:30 minute song leave the listener begging for more.

    Artist History
The members of Split End have been playing together since 1998. Now 18-19 the trio has worked hard to attain there status. We just ended up playing music together because we all hung out and drank together, and somehow it worked out that we could form a band. During our senior year in high school we decided to record our first professional demo. We recorded a 4 song demo featuring: Chase Forslund (Bass), Brandon Jaffe (Guitar/Vocals), Tim Walsh (Guitar), and Adam Parker on drums. The demo allowed us to start playing all-ages shows in and around the Seattle area. We absolutely love letting our emotions free when we play a live set, and that is why we get so much positive feedback on our live shows. That summer we made a few changes to our line-up. Replacing drummer Adam Parker with Kyle Johnson, and dropping our other guitarist Tim Walsh. These changes made us the three piece we are today. In March 2002 we finished our newest demo consisting of 3 songs, and we are continuing to build a larger and larger fan base in the Seattle area. In June of 2002 Kyle Johnson was replaced by Adam Parker the original drummer.
