Artist description
SLAVEMACHINE - a device consisting of four moving parts that creates an inspired conscious collective of followers through an audible and visual disturbance.
Eric and Ryan formed SLAVEMACHINE in Raleigh-Durham, NC in December of 1999.
After many attempts to find others who shared their vision, Ryan introduced Eric to old friend and drummer Lee Whitfield. With Eric's sledgehammer guitar riffs and Ryan's mind-twisting vocals combined with the Armageddon that Lee brought with his pounding, the machine was nearly complete. Countless auditions were conducted for a bass player, but no one truly understood the vision that Ryan, Lee and Eric shared. Then Jimmy Johnson moved to North Carolina from Texas. He shared a similar interest in this vision so he auditioned for bass player. All agreed that the harsh blows he dealt with his bass were just what they lacked. SLAVEMACHINE was now complete.
We will deliver music that is aggressive and heavy. SLAVEMACHINE has stormed across North Carolina leaving a wake of fanatics in its path.
SLAVEMACHINE is here to mark you for life.

SLAVEMACHINE - 4 Track demo cd
------------------------------
Author: Dio - WWW.NCSCENE.COM
"Raleigh"s SLAVEMACHINE have released a killer mini cd that includes four of the bands best songs. The overall production is just incredible thanks to local producer extraordinare Chris Hill. These guys remind me of a cross between Godsmack & Drowning Pool. Bombastic guitar hooks with stellar vocals that are mostly clean but at times hits on that Phil Anselmo type of aggression. The lead off track "Humility" with it's chunk heavy riffs, has a bit of a Prong sound to it. On to the disc"s standout track "Dark Hallway". It's heavy yet catchy. This song has "HIT" written all over it. Next up are the weirded out grooves of "Little Twisted" & the self explainatory "Crazy". NO rapping, NO half assed singing NO constant screaming & NO muddy, bashed out guitar noise. In other words NONE of that over rated & over played Nu-Metal crap !! SLAVEMACHINE crank out the new style of Heavy Metal as well as any of the big boys. Fans of any of the other group that I"ve referred to as well as the likes of Sevendust, Dope & Disturbed, should find SLAVEMACHINE much appealing." |
