Press Reviews Every child has a story whether it is in his/her mind, something they live, or a story someone tells them. Blue Dreams touches each main aspect of a child's life. The life of a child is primary. The three primary colors are Yellow, Blue, and Red. A child's primary emotions are Happy, Sad, and Mad. Noticeably, this is the emotional mainstay of our society. All hybrids of emotions are spawned by the initial 3 primary emotions, colors, and in this case music. Blue Dreams is the first of several albums that tell the story of Larz (a boy) and Ellis (a beetle) who travel together from the time when Larz reaches the age of 4 until 8. Almost every situation is addressed, but since these hybrids are a part of our world they are not overlooked. Many characters are presented as the story moves forward and evolves. The Beetle, Dragon, and the Setting Sun are the primary examples, and almost immediately we begin to see hybrids of these take form with Lime Green Jeans, Purple Rabbits, and Frogs that cut a rug (Dance). Always with music there is a song within a song. Throughout this album there are melodies within melodies and meanings within meanings. Hybrids, I call them. Blue Dreams is exactly what it says it is. It is easy to decipher the album by using the rules of emotion and it's hybrids. All children dream. I'm just one that dreams in blue. Sam Cosby
