Artist History
Morningside Drive began in the winter 99/2000 in chicago il, after the breakup of Steve's previous band Uptown. Desperately searching for a new band Steve decided to start a band with longtime childhood friends Fred and Jerry. All three of them met at a summer camp and happened to all live close to each other. When they got back home they started a band called Calypso Taxi. After three long years of playing with each other they decided to go their separate ways. Steve joined a band called Uptown while Jerry worked on his solo project. After the break up of Uptown Steve joined Jerry and Fred and started Morningside Drive (which was actually first called odd man out). They played a few shows, recorded a three song demo, got in a fight and broke up. After being broken up for about six months the boys decided to give it another try. Since the reunion of the trio, they've been playing shows trying to get their music reached to a wider audience. |
