Press Reviews
December’s Local Access band. 94th Street technically plays a musical style known as "Drum ‘n’ Bass" but its level of energy, melodic mastery, and rhythmic gymnastics make it hard to classify as any one genre. 94th Street is comprised of Alex Zimmerman (saxophone, keyboards, rhythmic vocalizations, and "booty shakin’"), TJ Berry (guitars, saxophone, effects, and "melodic vocalizations"), and Kevin Sawka (drums, samplers/electronics, turntables, and keyboards). 94th Street’s live performances are energetic, explosive experiences— genuinely not to be missed. The band is currently working on a follow up to their self-titled debut CD. 94th Street is a prime example of what is fresh and exciting about Seattle’s music scene.
