    Artist description
    Rev. Rabia was born to sing the blues. Her performances are powerful blend of righteous guitar picking and sensous, raspy vocals. She takes the urban blues out of bars and back into the fields and backwoods juke joints.

    Artist History
    She was born December 9, 1958 in Sacramento California(her family ancestry come from Arkansas), and began studying classical guitar at early age before switching to folk music and song writing. Rev. Rabia living in Berkeley, spend a year in Oakland Jazz Choir before beginning her serious journey into the blues, land of Memphis Minnie, Leadbelly, Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, too many to mention. She studied guitar with Kenny "Blue" Ray, former guitarist with Marcia Ball. Five Years ago Rev. Rabia ran into Delta blues master Robert Lowery and his sidekick, veteran harmonica player Virgil Thrasher, at a coffee house in Santa Cruz. An ancient saying goes "When the student is ready the teacher will appear".

    Cd: "Never Too Late" featuring: Rev. Rabia vocal and guitar (Acoustic and slide on National steel)and Harpman extraordiaire Virgil Thrasher on six cuts, showcases her writing skills with three original sons. I also play with my band: above two + straight Bass and Percussion.
