Press Reviews aside from some mixing problems, this electronic outfit from israel make trancey techno tunes with potential. they seem fairly new judging by their production skills (or maybe just inexperienced at mixing), but they do a good job of bringing in all of the elements to create simple but effective tunes. there's major acid action at work in the trance/techno tune contact and for this style of music, there's a nice variety. not a lot but enough to keep the music flowing. the mix needs work, especially the volume levels which distract me from the song but that's an easy enough fix. still, this is a beginner track and i'm gonna render a guess that these guys haven't been making electronic music for too long. G.F.Y.P. (x files mix) features one nice beat that totally carries an otherwise standard tune. can't say it's trip hop (as classified by trip fx) but the drums are well done and with the addition of cool but simple little effects throughout, this number has its moments. again, production problems especially with volume levels. the kick drum is monstrously loud and that tends to wear me down because it's pounding in my ear like one of those relentless hangover headaches. the song would be far more effective if trip fx could mellow out some. nice pads, nice mellow jungle beat with vocal samples that are WAY too loud are the basis of flat bit. production aside, this is a catchy little number with lots of trippy movement and effects to keep it flowing and changing. their best track of the three. © 1996 - 1999 raw42 music http://www.ward42.com/raw/reviews/trip_fx_project.html
