Artist description
Feel-good, Power-pop-novelty-rock. TriangleMan brings a musically diverse perspective to the world of fun pop, with the tri-lingual and musically ambidextrous lead singer Jonathan Tyndall, who is the result of a freak cloning mishap between Sting and Pat rick Swayze. Jon plays just about every instrument imaginable, and even somehow manages to make playing the accordian look cool. As the centerpoint of the band, he writes all the songs and still has time to work out to keep his image up to par with the l egions of screaming females, and the occasional chipmunk. The band's sound is upbeat and happy, not unlike Foo Fighters or Third Eye Blind, but with a satirical (but somehow not cynical) twist on the usual subject matter, and quite often the unusual. It's rather difficult to describe, so the best way I can portray it is this: the band's music is largely not unlike that of TriangleMan, whose songs are featured here in the highly downloadable (and downright listenable) mp3 format. If you listen to one of these songs, then you are sure to be on your way to understanding (not to mention comprehending) just exactly what it is the music of said band would sound like were you to actually hear it. |

Artist History
The band as a whole is a collection of classically and otherwise trained musicians who wandered in off the streets. Jon, being the musical equivalent of Mother Theresa, once had the band numbering as high as 422 members, but soon realized that the task of profit sharing would be much easier if the band were nailed down to just the bare essentials. The current lineup includes Kevin, a modern and classical guitar genius, and Bryan, king of bass, upright and otherwise. The first incarnation of TriangleMan was formed in 1994 and has developed into a local phenomenon in the bustling metropolitan area known as Chattanooga, tucked away in the sloping valleys of the Appalachian mountains, it is the home to one of the greatest local railroad-tie black-markets th is side of the Tennessee River. Somehow managing to avoid falling into this loathsome yet locally accepted lifestyle, TriangleMan has succeeded in venturing past the normal barriers of music, culture, and the space-time continuum, to build up an impressive catalog of songs that range from the absurd to the unfathomably bizarre, to the traditional asian-polka-scottish-mariachi-ballad, to the more common fun-pop-with-a-twist sound that we know best.
