Artist description
Based in Austintown Ohio, a suburb of
Youngstown, these five members of the band take music to the next level of intensity. Formed in
November of 96' in a "New York Music" store, SIFT is a diverse fusion of Rap and Metal that
makes the listener beg for more. They are influenced by a keen genre of the "new school". From the
first note, they pack a hard-driven sound that is surrounded by energy. From Shmoe's seriously
emotional fronting, packed by the rumble of Duke's drumming, mixed in with the heavy-edged guitar
sounds of Speedy and Mijo, sealed with the final power-groove of Bubba's bass is the reason why
this band can't be missed. Their stage presence slams together a wallop of emotion and aggression
all at the same time. This is truly a serious band that will gift the listener exactly what they do best! |

This new 2 song demo really shows you how much a band can mature in a year. This band has
gotten so creative, they can't even be compared to anyone now. It is still rapcore/crossover, but with
a creative edge that i've never even heard before. The first song, "So WhatchaWant Bitch," comes
with the classic SIFT style, but with a whole new dimension. The other song, "Dose," is so badass
and creative, you will just have to sit there and ponder on what you just heard. It starts out with
some wierd percussion and music, almost with an arabian scence to it. Then it totally breaks out into
an agression rush bigger than life itself. Pick this demo up today, it's well worth the $3, and it's a
major tease as to what the cd has in store for us when it breaks through! |
