From http://www.raw42.com/panic] has many fine ideas and good quality music but there's a tendency to stay at home with the songs... like he doesn't want to venture out too far progressively and if you don't like that stay-at-home style, you'll miss out on this darkwave techno, it's slightly somber but still beautiful and well done. i love the panning of the weird digital effects that begin the darkwave tune frost (brain freeze), it's very effective in that spacey way... when you just want to be flipped out a little but aren't in the mood for an all out freakshow. it's the background pads that make this song so effective bringing lots of atmosphere to the techno edge. pretty tasty in that mellow way.a combo of drum'n bass with repetitive synth leads is almost entirely the focus of deep in the blue which is fine, but the constant melody and beat can wear down the ears a bit. thankfully the beautiful pad break mid way through saves this number from being overly bland. even as a minimalist or trance-like venture, it doesn't quite work the way it should... not enough variation. it's really quite a shame because the bass and melody are simple but very nicely done.breaker picks up the pace and even though it doesn't travel far, with its dark techno overtones it's good quality trip-out music that builds and builds. a trance melody overlays a subtle but powerful beat. there is a lot of repetition to this track but it's not all that noticeable because the sounds and melodies hide it well. the builds are great though and overall, this song was most enjoyable.
