Artist History Malicious Intent, was formed in late 1992. With Members Ted Hodge(bass) Roland Gagnon (Vocals, rhtm guitar)John Evicci (Drums) the band went on to play locally in the MA area for 2 years playing with acts such as Wargasm and Maliah Rage (epic artists)In 1994, Evicci left the band to Play with a signed Punk band (Out Cold). In late 1994 Malicious picked up drummer Dan Desharnais From NH, and Paul Leary (lead guitar)From Alaska and went on to record it's first Album (Mind Control) in Late 1995. The band went on for two years playing locally and selling Cd's and playing bigger clubs in Boston Ma, and New york city.In 1996 the band sold 1000 albums and looked hopefull for the future then the band ran into some personal problems and split up for about a year and a half. when the band was reformed in 1998 members Roland Gagnon (vocals rhtm guitar)Gene Newton (Bass) Jay Jussaume (Drums) Paul Ryan (Guitar.) The Band was on it's way back into the clubs playing live again for the first time in two years. Tragically on Oct 20th Jayson Jusseume Died in an automobile accident.We were devastated Not sure what the future was holding for us we decided to hang on and just role with what ever happens. The three of us stayed on a regular practice Schedule trying to cope with our loss.We all decided that giving up would not be an option, and need to go on with our music.With that the only idea that we could come up with is ask our original drummer to come back. Dan accepted and we continued practicing with the hopes of recording a memorial album. Unfortunatly Gene would not be able to hang on AND STOPED PLAYING MUSIC,leaving another empty gap for a bass player. Jeff Greico was a well known friend of ours and we asked him to come in with his rubber fingers on the bass, he accepted. The decision was made to cut an album in the memory of Jason.Jason has written 5 of our last 9 new originals these songs are the best that the band has done so far.We should be going in the studio early Fall to record this memorial album. It should be released early Dec 1999.
