Artist History
The musical phoenix known as folk rock has
once again risen from the ashes. The genre
first took wing in the 1960s with the Byrds.
It's been shot down many times since. First,
by the screaming feedback of acid rock, then
by punk's spitting fury and finally by grunge
navel-gazing. But once again, folk rock's flying
on shimmering harmonies and pop hooks.
Some of the purveyors of this clean sound
have recently landed in Bedford Hills by way
of Canada. |

Press Reviews
In the late '90s, acoustic duos are
seemingly ubiquitous in American
coffeehouses and microbreweries. The vast
majority of these neo-folkies sound withered
and weedy, if not downright anemic.
Fortunately, Legato Grace employ an
instinctive drummer on their melodic musings.
Gary Schwartz's percussion provides a
gossamer-thin bottom on which Mr. Dall and
Ms. Genyk stack layers of harmony. |
