REVIEW OF BINARY FINARY 2000 -This dance track is certainly danceable. It has all of the right ingredients --- good tempo, good sounds and fx. "Binary Finary 2000" also keeps the pulse going without always relying on the drums --- a refreshing idea, and it works in this song. The intro is also cool, combining vocal fx with non-percussion instruments. There are a lot of good ideas in this track, but they need to be developed more rather than strung together. In fact, there are enough musical ideas here to do another song or two. For example, the song's 50-second opening with voice is very catchy and effective, but the voice never returns. This is not only a disappointment, but it does not complement the structure. There are too many unrelated sections and the track tends to wander. It appears that "Binary Finary 2000" was assembled from a group of samples, rather than composed. I realize that this is often done in dance music, but in order to pull-it-off the samples really need to be developed/edited/tweaked so that they support the music and its direction. "Binary Finary 2000" is certainly worth listening to, and it will make you get up and dance
