Artist description Bren lead vocalist/writer/producer and self-proclaimed, "Half - assed Musician", is releasing a few tracks to get the word out. Previously, Bren performed as lead vocalist with FunkChild that TORE the ROOF OFF THE MOTHA*****! He has plans for Boston... "A lil' sumpn', sumpn is in the works... I have two new projects to get the city jumpin'. It's time to wake up Boston and it's weak-ass funk/soul/RnB scene. Funk and soul music isn't being represented properly by many of the bands here in Massachusetts. I'm trying to change that. I want to spark up the joint and hit you off with the "bomb shit" I grew up listening to...come off with some realness from the streets." "No fakin' the funk like some mofos that come out playing that corny Funk; sounding more like hoaky disco or some whack, booty sounding shit all stiff and forced! It's so tired...and they come off looking like it too. I'm going to bring it like it's supposed be brought! Hard, soft, rough, smooth and from my roots." Bren's first project, already in rehearsals, will be a Funk Cover band playing the Funk/Soul grooves that are songs you never hear the typical cover bands play. "No Ohio Players', Love Rollercoaster.
