Press Reviews From newyork.sidewalk: Watch out for openers Alice Texas -- a local trio fronted by raw talent Alice Schneider -- who aren't from Texas but play with a surprising emotional authenticity anyway. Schneider has a range: On tracks like "Big Black Motorcycle," she mixes garage-punk with girl-group insouciance, while "Dream Time" rages with Patti Smith/PJ Harvey angst and "[One More Time]" evokes the somnambulist slide guitar drone of Mazzy Star.
