Artist History
The Scheme is a five-piece pop-rock outfit from Connecticut. They aim to put poetry to the framework of technical, and yet danceable, music. They strive to be invariably improving, both lyrically and musically.
Patrick and Sean met in French class in high school and quickly became friends, both sharing a desire of music. They soon decided to form a band. Jay, another Woodbury resident and friend of Patrick, was asked to play guitar. He accepted the offer, and The Scheme was formed.
They played a few shows as this three-piece, but decided soon thereafter to become more sonically diverse. Enter Lani. A friend of the band, who shall remain nameless for the time being, told us she was interested in being in a band, and had experience playing piano. She met with the other three, and decided to join the group.
After playing more shows and becoming friends with many other Connecticut bands, The Scheme decided they needed another member; a second guitarist. This is where James comes in. James had been in many other bands, but never found an environment where he could truly be creative. He found this environment in The Scheme, a diverse assortment of musicians, and became the final member of the group. |
